Hello and welcome to inaugural Elements Newsletter!

Who is this newsletter for?

You! Past, present or future program members, workout class participants or attendants of one of our workshops this newsletter will keep you informed and educated.

What will it include?

Each issue will highlight the supplement, modality and IV of the month. It will have a calendar of upcoming events and a section on what’s new at Elements. Plus, a little dose of nutrition.

Why a newsletter?

Here at Elements, we value education. We want you to have all of the information at your fingertips to make progress on your health (even if it’s 1% a day, it’s progress!). Knowing about the benefits of adding a supplement, trying a modality or attending a class will inspire you to meet your health goals.

When will it hit your inbox?

Don’t worry, we won’t spam you! The newsletter will arrive the third week of each month so you’ll be ready to take action on your health in the following month.

DR. CAROL’S CORNER

This procedure will help you nip a cold in the bud and accelerate healing from a cold that has already developed. It does so by stimulating your immune system and enhancing your blood’s circulation.

Things you will need:

• 1 pair thin cotton socks
• 1 pair wool socks
• Cold water
• Hot water

What to expect:

• Putting on the wet cotton socks feels weird but if you are sick you will fall asleep pretty fast anyway.

• When you wake in the morning all the socks will be dry and you will feel better.
• If you applied this technique right at the start of the cold, it is likely the cold will be gone.
• If you applied this technique later in the development of the cold, you will still likely feel better, even if the cold is not gone.

What to do:

• Step 1: Take a hot shower or at least soak your feet in hot water

• Step 2: Take the cotton socks and wet them down in cold water, then wring them out as dry as you can get them.
• Step 3: Put on the wet cotton socks
• Step 4: Put on the dry wool socks over top of the wet socks
• Step 5: Go to bed.

Something to consider:

When you are travelling always bring a pair of cotton socks and a pair of wool socks in case you catch something in your travels. That way you won’t have to go hunting for medication and/or supplements in an unfamiliar place; especially when you aren’t feeling up to snuff. And…you have a good chance of minimizing downtime on your trip due to feeling poorly.

Kristine May, BSHS, NTP is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, receiving her certification through the Nutritional Therapy Association based out of Seattle, WA. She has a Bachelor of Science in Health Science, as well as an Associate’s degree in Health Information Technology. She worked for six years at the West Clinic, a world-renowned integrative wellness clinic where she worked as a Nutritional Therapist and Practice Manager. With a history of a decade of nutritional healing experience and coaching, she has broadened her scope once more. Believing in continual education, she is currently studying emotional mastery and mindfulness and believes the mind/body connection is so crucial to optimal health and healing.

As one who has personal experience with health challenges, Kristine understands the frustrations and confusion around supporting the body nutritionally. There are differing opinions everywhere you turn in regards to how to best fuel the body. There is a reason for this…. No two bodies are the same. We are all biologically individual beings.

What works for you, doesn’t necessarily work for all. This is a main reason why many don’t experience relief when following routine diet plans or food pyramid recommendations. Kristine believes in uniquely tailoring dietary guidance to best support each client’s needs.

Having complete confidence in nutrition and its ability to transform our bodies, Kristine knows that education is the key. As she works together with her clients, they gain a better understanding of how food choices influence the body. Nutritional deficiencies may be causing symptoms or systemic dysfunction. As she works to foundationally support her clients, symptoms many times improve or dissipate. Through this transformation, clients not only feel healthier, but also develop healthy habits that can last a lifetime. This wealth of knowledge continues to bless you as long as you let it. Kristine enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She loves watching her children learn and grow, and she is always their largest supporter at all their competitive events. Motherhood is her greatest calling and she values it above all else. Traveling and experiencing other cultures is of great importance to Kristine. This may have stemmed from her upbringing. She has lived in five different states and has visited over thirty. She hopes to someday travel internationally and loves participating in relief and charity efforts. The greatest experiences of her life thus far have come through serving others.

Kristine feels appreciation for her ability to have a hand in others’ transformation and takes great pride in the insight she can provide others. She loves the relationships she forms with team members and clients alike. Kristine knows that the future is bright for this incredible new Integrative Wellness Center and is eager to be a part of it all!
